Redemption's Sound

Today is a Holy day for me, kind of like my Good Friday; it is an anniversary of where a part of my deep brokenness was met ultimately with God's deep tenderness.  It is a reminder that Love wins, Love heals, and that nothing is beyond Holy redemption.  My walk is more like a limp now.  I will always be marked by invisible scars that taught me more of Jesus and His all encompassing Goodness.  I will forever hate the breaking, but I will forever be grateful and better for the mending.  And so this is my offering--the poetry of a soul transformed.

REDEMPTION'S SOUND

To participate in redemption is to humbly listen
to let lost voices speak
as a willing soul gives ear
to broken stories bravely told.
Here the fresh grief of Divine Love enters in
through humble vessels deeply hearing
while gently pouring God's tenderness
into the wounded.
And then such Power flowing, yet
gently floating this broken beloved one
back into the Wholeness
of Holy mending, restoration,
Grace redeeming,
broken souls now sweetly hearing
this welcoming sound,
Sacred words of healing:
"My child, you belong--"
to Father, Holy Spirit, Son,
sweet communion:
Three in One.

For healing to come is to receive
what Holy Love offers--
REDEMPTION:
Holy Love offering Himself
in our place,
standing with us in our pain,
taking upon Himself
our rags, our dismissal, our shame,
every ugly thing
the hand of loss and contempt and hate
thrust upon us,
And then willing to take
also the ugliness we gave
as we wrestled with the rage.
Healing comes as we stand accepted and loved
before the Father
within the Son
who has taken up our broken mess
and carried it in His broken self
hanging silent and solitary,
blood-washed
on the Cross.

In Christ's Resurrection
we too are made new.
The Spirit clothes us as His beloved,
splendidness dressed
in dazzling Light;
our eyes with Holy Truth made bright:
Anguish released
brings peace.

Because what we will be
is already being revealed,
the Spirit's cleansing Fire
redefining this broken mess
calling forth our loveliness.
And as we take courage,
looking upon Christ's Holiness,
the Spirit's transforming work begins:
We are remade in His image.
Our beauty revealed;
Hope within us lives.

To participate in REDEMPTION
is to listen,
quiet and attentive
to the Father's song of Love:  The Son
singing Himself over us,
and yes we are hearing
the sweet cadence of a
gentle familiarity
we thought lost.
Let us hear
the Father's voice of Love above
and
Let us hear
the Spirit's voice of Love within
and
Let us join
the Song.
